Kob-i In Singapore

Kob-i #02 : Gem Biscuits

A hallmark snack of Singaporean and Asian origin, gem biscuits first rose to prominence in the early 1990’s. Most commonly found in the provision shops under the block that we all know and love, these biscuits could be found in metal containers stacked high up to the ceiling.

These biscuits were usually sold by weight and our favourite shopkeeping “aunties” and “uncles” would need to use a spoon to pry the metal lid open to weigh the biscuits before handing them over.

What better way to remember your favourite gem biscuit than to memorialise it in a NFT?
